MAC JR Attendance Policy

We would like to take this opportunity to clarify our existing policy regarding attendance at the MAC JUNIOR Program.

Enrollment in a semester course at MAC Testing entitles your child to two (2) classes per week, each running for two (2) hours. As a gift from Dr. Mac, each student is also being given the opportunity to attend a third class per week. As always, the Free Reading Clinic is, indeed, free and does not count as one of the three (3) classes. This means that, including the Reading Clinic, your child may attend a total of four (4) classes each week. If you wish for your child to attend more weekly classes than her/his tuition covers, there is a very reasonable fee charged of $80 per month for each additional class that s/he attends, as mentioned in the 2008 MAC JUNIOR brochure. You will be billed accordingly.

It is vitally important to all of us that your child derives the most out of her/his experience here at MAC. Toward that end, we request that you pay careful attention to the schedules of classes. Most important is to attend classes that are at the proper grade level. Please be sure that you plan your child’s schedule with this in mind. The test prep classes have been shaded to enhance greater specificity.

For whatever reasons, in the recent past, several students have inadvertently been coming to classes that are not at their level. Understandably, this causes our instructors to be unable to afford the attention due the students for whom that class is meant. It also creates frustration in the younger child who is understandably not up to the work at the higher level. Children dropped off for inappropriate classes will no longer be allowed to attend class. You will be called to pick up your child.
